It’s a great book and I enjoyed reading it, but it got under my skin. So this book was a whole lot darker than I ever expected it to be! I like to read fiction that errs on the dark side but with this book, I had to put it down and take a break a couple of times. I chose to read and review an eARC of Tattletale but that has in no way influenced my review. Tattletale was published by Trapeze Books on 21st September 2017 and is available in all formats. Today I am delighted to be sharing my seventeenth 20 Books of Summer review with you, which is for Tattletale by Sarah J. Hello and welcome bookish friend to damppebbles. Packed with twists and turns, this gripping psychological thriller will make you question whether we can ever really trust the ones we love.“ She meets his fiancé Jody, and gradually pieces together the ruins of the life she left behind. But then she meets Abe, the perfect stranger next door and suddenly life seems full of possibility and hope. She has shut herself down, haunted by her memories and unable to trust anyone. Though Sister Location does have its limitations, both it and Tattletail more of a free-roam, adventure-style horror game.“One day changes Jody’s life forever. The only way these two properties could be similar in that sense is if you are using the newest FNAF game, Sister Location, as a comparison to Tattletail. Tattletail is a free-roam adventure game that allows the player to explore their environment and find objects throughout the house. FNAF is a point-and-click horror game where the player sat in one position while using the doors to guard themselves from the threatening characters. One of these differences is the adventure style of the game. However, there are some elements that make Tattletail different. This is how Tattletail could appeal to the Five Nights at Freddy’s fans. The jump scares in both games are vital parts of their structure and what makes them recognizable. The games are similar in some ways, including their five-nights structure, horror genre, distinct cartoonlike characters, and jump scares within the game. This style to the game could be the part that appeals to FNAF fans. Tattletail has a “five-nights structure” similar to the very popular game Five Nights at Freddy’s. The game features multiple endings, which leaves the player to decide how they are going to play the game leading up to the ending. This game not only has the elements of a good horror game, it is also free roam and has a sense of adventure and exploring to it as well. ![]() Mama quickly becomes the antagonist of the game and it is the player’s job to banish her. The player is then introduced to Mama, a storyteller toy similar to the Talking Tattletail. The game takes you through five nights of doing tasks for the Tattletail the player carries throughout the game. Tattetail is a horror adventure-style game for the PC that takes the player into the eyes of a child on Christmas who unboxes their gift early and finds a toy called the Talking Tattletail, a play on the ’90s toy Furbies that have seen a bit of a resurgence in recent years. ![]() Facebook Twitter Pinterest LinkedIn Email
